Re-use of protected data (personal data, commercially confidential data, statistical confidentiality, IP rights) held by public sector bodies in the EU (Data Governance Act):

• Verifies that the EU declaration of conformity, technical documentation and conformity assessment have been completed by the provider.
• Keeps for 10 years the provider’s contact details, EU declaration of conformity, technical documentation and any notified-body certificate for authorities’ review.
• Provides a competent authority, upon a reasoned request, all information and documentation needed to demonstrate a high-risk AI system’s conformity with the law.
• Facilitates competent authorities’ access, upon a reasoned request, to the system’s automatically generated logs under the provider’s control.
• Cooperates with competent authorities, upon a reasoned request, in particular to reduce or mitigate the risks posed by the system.
• Registers the provider and the AI system in the EU database, or, if registration is carried out by the provider, verify that the representative’s contact details are correct.
• Liaises with competent authorities on all AI Act compliance matters, in addition to or on behalf of the provider, if empowered by mandate.
